Every month NorthStar in the Community offers a Big Give opportunity that anyone and everyone can get involved in!

March 2012 Big Give: Easter Toiletry Bags!

For our March Big Give, we’re providing Easter Toiletry Bags for those in need. These are items that food stamps can’t buy but are nevertheless needed to maintain dignity.

Bags should be brought in Sunday morning, March 18, 2012, and dropped off at tables in the lobbies of each campus and venue.

Each bag should contain the following items:
  • Toilet tissue
  • Shampoo
  • Toothpaste
  • Toothbrush(es)
  • Deodorant
  • Soap(s)
  • Razor(s)
Optional items you could include:
  • A “Happy Easter” card (do not include your last name on the card)
  • A chocolate bunny or two
The bag could be one of the following:
  • A decorative gift bag
  • A homemade decorated bag (kids love to get in on this)
  • A plain paper bag
These bags will be handed out to people in need at the beginning of April. Bags received at the Kennesaw campus will go to the Smyrna MUST location, which serves around 150 people per day. Bags received at the Dallas campus will go to Shepherd’s Rest, a family violence crisis center in Paulding County.
